You may have noticed that I have been away and that I have not posted for three days. I have been working on reassembling my PC. I was wanting to put in some components which at this point I believe I am ready to admit are a little too ancient to fit into this computer. ::Bummed out::
We’ll, I’m back and ready to go again. The break was well needed but so is the practice and discipline of posting EVERYDAY. So in true Nerdfighter (link to definition) style , I would be open to the suggestion for a Nerfighter punishment for not having posted. I guess, technically, I should be open to three punishments. Okay three it is. Luckily I know that not many other Nerdfighters read my blog yet. Unfortunately, this post will stay up. Therefore, Nerdfighters in the future could stumble upon the post and call me out at anytime. ::dred::
Most importantly, you, my loyal fan base, will not have to endure one more hellish day of this cruel world without a daily drawing from me, your fearless leader, Rick Blanco III. You're welcome. |

This is quick rendering of my favorite sci-fi mad scientist. To the first person to recognize the character I offer a dinner with me at your favorite inexpensive South Florida eatery. Be the first on you block to submit your guess in the comment section. You’ll be whisked away (meaning; you’ll drive) to an exotic local (meaning; a fast food joint) to be wined and dined (meaning; you’ll eat *no wine) with a world famous (meaning; not world famous) artist (meaning: me). Good luck.
Hints: He is the main character of a sci-fi musical. It also stars Felicia Day as the romantic lead. He is horrible.

 Peter Pan series
With this drawing I kick off a series of characters from the famous JM Berrie classics, Peter Pan. Also, this kicks off a feature where I incorporate friends and family in to this blog. I will be using my nieces and nephews and models for this series. If you have and I idea for another series post it in the comment section below. This is my version of Peter Pan. The model for this drawings was my little nephew Julian. I hope he likes it and I hope you like it too. |

Today I made a movie poster in Adobe Illustrator. It was for the worst B movie ever made, The Giant Gila Monster. I worked on it for an hour and a half. Then, just as I was about the export to jpg format, CRASH! Efing A! ::SCREAM!!!::. I am so mad and disappointed because it was coming out excellent.
I started this daily drawing project for two reasons. To practice my art and to share it with you. Unfortunately tonight I will have to be satisfied with having practiced. Sorry folks. No post tonight. Let the record show that I did my daily drawing. |
